The Department of Physical Sciences, Machakos University
The department of physical sciences is one of the three departments under the school of pure and applied sciences. The core mandate of the department is to provide high quality training on technological development to our students, equip them with knowledge and skills necessary to promote economic development. The knowledge gained will give them understanding of scientific approaches and evidence, so that they can make informed decisions on scientific issues.
Message from the Chairperson of the Department
Welcome to the department of Physical Sciences where we offer science courses that are in line with the national goals on science and technology. The department is currently offering three courses: Bachelors of science in applied physics and technology, Bachelor of science in analytical chemistry and Master of science in chemistry.
The department has a total of 10 qualified teaching and non teaching staff. All staff members are committed to the goals of the school and the university in order to produce not only competent but also hands-on students.
